In Uganda, the cost of registering a new car depends on the type and size of the vehicle. Passenger vehicles and trailers cost more than vehicles like ambulances and hearses.
When importing a car, you must register it with the URA, which has the sole mandate of collecting taxes and registration of vehicles.
